Janet Kelly, IRR teacher
Janet has been teaching in USD348 for twenty-two years, nineteen of those years at BJHS.
Bachelors degree in 1995 and Masters degree in 2005.
BJHS Grading Scale
A = 90-100% B = 80-89% C = 70-79%
D = 60-69% F = below 60%
E=Excellent, S=Satisfactory, U=Unsatisfactory
P=Pass, F=Fail
Students will have two (2) days for each day they are excused, due to illness, family emergencies, etc.
Schoolwork that is turned in after those makeup days will be considered late.
Late work
1 day = -10%; 2 days = -20%; 3 days = -30%
4 days = -40%; 5 days = -50%
Any work can be turned in to the teacher until the last day of the nine weeks for 50% of the earned grade.
Each student will be expected to have a daily planner.
For each class period students will be learning the skills
needed to be successful in and outside school.

Bring all necessary materials to class
Complete assignments
Be respectful of yourself and others

East Central Kansas Cooperative in Education provides comprehensive special education services to all eligible students ages 3-21 in the Baldwin, Eudora, and Wellsville School Districts. ECKCE is situated only minutes from Lawrence and less than 50 miles from Kansas City.
ECKCE employs special education teachers, paraeducators, school social workers, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists.
The cooperative promotes an inclusion model with resource rooms available in each building K-12 and early childhood special education classrooms in each district. ECKCE is a member of the Douglas County Tiny-K Early Intervention and Ottawa/Wellsville Early Childhood Coordinating Councils. The councils coordinate services for families of children ages birth to 3, with disabilities, and promote a transition of services to public schools.
